Conversion K to V >>

A Dr. Feels that 1.5 mg Clonazepam is = to 10 mg Valium. I know that their are varying ideas on this, but most often I see 10 mg V = .5 mg K.

Proposed - I am on 1.5 clonazepam right now.

clonazepam 1.5mg is about valium 10mg.

each stage is 1-2 weeks am night total

stage 1  7.5mg 2.5mg 10mg

stage 2 7 2 9mg

We usually refer to this one: https://www.benzo.org.uk/bzequiv.htm which says .5mg K is roughly equivalent to 10mg V.

So for a cross to Valium from 1.5mg Klonopin it's more like 30mg.  At 10mg you're most likely to feel some significant withdrawal...to put it mildly.

Right. I do not think the proposal is at all realistic. I think I would be better of tapering straight from clonazepam, you know?

I think i'd be at the hospital in short order. And this is a direct cut-over, no crossover.

Interested in your post, as I am on 1mg/day Clonezapam and starting to plan. Like you, rather not change to another drug then stabilise that one.

What did you end up doing?
