I've never done this before, I don't know where to start, I'm lost

Where to start...

First - I think that you should probably only taper one drug at a time, so maybe wait until the methadone taper is finished.  That will give you time to read more about these various tapering approaches.

There are a few decisions to make:

- Taper Xanax directly or cross-over to a longer lasting benzo like valium?

- Dry Taper or Liquid Taper?

- Cut and Hold or Daily micro-cuts?

I'd suggest taking your time to read about each of these before deciding on your approach.  There are advantages and disadvantages to all approaches.  Post enough questions so that you get all of your questions answers (at least the ones that are answerable).
