I assume you're asking because you are changing from one benzo to another?  If so, there will be a time when you are on both - but not full dosages of both - look at the Ashton manual for examples and equivalencies of benzos...but basically you lower the dosage of the one you're on while you add the one you're going to be on, ....you taper down the one you're on as you taper up the one you're going to.
