hey guys I was wondering if I could get any advice about this.  I'm currently at 4mg's of Valium and take it around 9:00 p.m.  I was doing REALLY good at 5 for 3 days in a row so I dropped.  I took the liquid version of valium for the first time as well when I went to 4 mg's.  For me it was not good.  I immediately felt ill (within 20 min)  and got like a migraine in my right temple and have had it the past three days.  apparently they mix it with 20 percent alcohol.  But for me to be SO SENSITIVE is ridiculous.  I got the 2mg pills the next day from my doc explaining the situation but I haven't had a good day since I made the cut using the liquid 3 days ago. 

I'm waiting to even out at 4 and have my body adjust to it.  it's just been such a drop off for me happiness and progress wise ya know.  1 silly mg.  Anyway I'm at 4 mg's would any of you suggest splitting the dose in to two times a day.  like take 2mg's at 9:00 am and 2 mg's at 9:00 pm.  Or something like that.  any advice on this situation would be awesome.

I think I remember another member who had a bad reaction when she switched to liquid valium.  Made me wonder if there's an ingredient besides just the valium and water in it.

Based on the long half-life of valium, splitting the dose should not be necessary.  However, if you are feeling especially symptomatic an hour or two before your dose, you might benefit from trying a 2mg a.m. and 2mg p.m. dosing schedule.  I wouldn't make any changes while you are still trying to get stable, though.  Anyway, that's my opinion and worth exactly what you paid for it.

Click , like beeper says you could take it in 2 doses, but it seems you are indicating you only had trouble when you switched to the liquid form, so if the pills were not causing you ;any undue hardship, once stabilized on them again, you should be able to take them just at night like you have been doing.  First thing is get stabilized as beeper indicates.   

since you now have the 2 mg. pills you should be able to gradually reduce using dry cuts .  I would start with cutting your 2mg. pill in half, then cut the half in half.   Take away one of those halves every 7 to 14 days.   you can see how it goes the first week , and adjust from there if symptoms are good or bad.
