License to fill Valium prescription

I brought my diazepam prescription in to be filled and now their requiring your license, I live in a Rhode Island. Anywhere else have to do that?

Depends on the pharmacy, not the state. Sometimes they ask for my license along w/ insurance card, sometimes they don't. I'm in California.

My state requires to provide one for narcotics, but not benzodiazepines.

Same here. And for some odd reason, Lunesta and Ambien. ???

I am in rhode island I survived cancer I was put on benzo ativan and want to get off and cant find a doctor that will switch me to valium and do the Ashton method.... so I hit Rhode Island in the search box here an your post came up.....do you know of any ? thank you

In California they usually ask for your ID for any controlled substance. And benzos are a "schedule IV" controlled substance.
