In the late 1980s and early 1990s, as part of its Live From Lincoln Center series, PBS broadcast a number of specials featuring the late great Luciano Pavarotti and some of his "friends" from the opera world. Pavarotti Plus, as they called these programs, was absolutely excellent - and the best of them, in my opinion, was from 1991. I could hardly believe it when I found the entire 1991 program on YouTube. It's almost three hours long, but you don't have to watch it all at once. Of course, you might not be able to stop watching once you've started, so be prepared. I've already posted one performance from this show, at the start of this thread, so you may recognize it when you see it again. But it's worth watching twice. Enjoy!

By the way, this show was uploaded to YouTube just a week ago, so there is a chance it may be taken down for copyright reasons. Better not wait.

These are very nice choral performances. I suppose they're on the sacred end of classical.
You've heard them before, but can you remember when?
