Peer Gynt and the Trolls...
It's amazing Peer Gynt isn't performed more often. It gets better every time you listen to it.

Bartók: Music For Strings, Percussion, and Celesta, Mvt.3

Creepy photo of Bartók to accompany creepy music used to creepy effect by Stanley Kubrick in "The Shining".

Hard to believe this was not written for a movie soundtrack.
Of course, in 1937 Europe was becoming a horror show, wasn't it?

I don't know how to attach a link, but I these days I've really been loving Barber's Adagio for Strings.

My emotions have felt muted during my taper and that piece really tugs at some strong "feels."

P.S. I just figured out how to attach link :)
