Masterbation and Sexual Problems during Withdrawal

[lg...]

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, I stopped taking Xanax about 2 weeks ago and I am having a super hard time with all the withdrawal symptoms and the Sexual Side effects.

When I was on Xanax and had no trouble and had sex with my girlfriend every day. Now I don't want to have sex at all but once I start sex I get worried then I cannot continue. My girlfriend is upset because she was used to have sex daily and so she is complaining a lot. There was never a time where 2 weeks went by with no sex or starting sex. I think our relationship cannot last because she has her own ideas about withdrawal and she says "I'm just depressed" and "how can you be having side effects you quit taking them a few weeks ago" etc etc. and she harps on me about sex and seems really frustrated wth me.

Do you guys have experience with you sex drive and how long does it normally last.  Any options would be greatly appreciated. If anyone can share their sexual side effects it would be greatly appreciated. I looked online and people are complaining about more Labito after stopping xanaxx.

On Xanax 3mg until I went to rehab in November 2015 and was detoxed over a 10 day period.

Found Xanax I had but away and did not know it was there. Relapsed and was on for about 3 weeks.

Stopped again in Mid April 2016-Withdrawing like crazy now.

Maybe getting your testosterone levels checked would be a place to start.

Hello BB! :smitten:

I'm so sorry you are struggling! Please know that you aren't alone in your journey!

Please do not ever take another benzo. Each time you stop and then take them again, it causes kindling (as you now know by your statement "withdrawing like crazy now").

As for sex, I had sex 2 times in earlier withdrawal, and didn't even try again until just a week ago. It revved my sxs up big time!!!! So, I don't know when I'll try again. Sxs are difficult enough to deal with without the added revving them up! Not worth it to me! So, my husband WILL do without just as well until I am better!

Sex is important in a relationship, but it's not the most important during withdrawal/recovery. Please take care of yourself the best you can...heck, all that other stuff can wait!

Stay strong BB!!

I've had some problems with that myself but I strongly urge you from getting a testosterone injection I tried that and it revved my symptoms up to the point I felt like I was in early withdraw again, l arginine helps and so does ginko, stay away from yohimbine im not trying to place any fear I just know how you feel and I really don't want you to go through anymore suffering so be careful with testosterone it didn't fix anything, but eventually your sex drive will come back buddy I promise God Bless you all stay strong

Sorry to hear of your problems but psych meds tend to be linked with sexual dysfunction. Perhaps you could show your girlfriend some of the info I've provided with this link - https://www.verywell.com/erectile-dysfunction-and-your-medications-1124108

Note they mention tranquillizers like Valium. I hope your girlfriend will try to appreciate this isn't all due to something psychological because it isn't. Take care.

Pris-  thanks for your message (I just got it), but when I tried to write you back, it said you blocked me.  So there is no way for me to respond.

just curious if someone is taking viagra during his withdrawal. I just noticed that my brother wants to [nobbc]buy viagra online[/nobbc] (his laptop was open and I accidentally noticed it) and not sure it is okay in his condition. Isn't viagra also addictive and does it have some side effects actually?
