The Count Five ~ "Psychotic Reaction"

Love that song! They remind me of the Yardbirds meet the Sonics a lil,

Speaking of...

The Sonics - Psycho

And just in case you want to see/do some gogo dancing while listening

ps. it's stimulating so if you're anxious maybe avoid, if you need to wake up enjoy some punk before its time.

The Count Five ~ "Psychotic Reaction"

Continuing on the theme of related bands:

The Horrors - Count in Fives

Hey Cuz, that is a nice combo, Jesus and Mary Chain covering the Cramps :)

I also checked out the "What's in my bag" thing you recommended. I really like the one with Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile. Thanks

Wow Jet. That band brings back so many memories. Wish I had a time machine. Nardwuar's interview with them was epic but no where to be found online.

Anyway

Feels rn and most days. Suddenly want to watch the lost boys. Actually will. ✌️

ps. congrats on being benzo free CuzKK

Good movie!

Thank you.  I've really got to remove that exclamation point, though.

Welcome to bbs, though it's not a club anyone would want to have had a reason to join.  Good luck w/your w/d.

My first exposure to the song Head On -

Here's The Pixies covering The Jesus and Mary Chain haha

live version:

The Pixies are one of the only bands I've seen multiple times live.

Pixies - Mr. Grieves / Crackity Jones:

Hey Thanks CuzKK. And I hear you - it's a club most of us unwittingly joined. Wouldn't worry about the exclamation point, I'd use several once I get to that point. It's a heck of an accomplishment.

Same Data_Guy! Best live show(s) second only to Iggy Pop.

Ps. just noticed your signature - congrats on completing your taper as well

Cool! New tunes to put on my playlist.

The Yardbirds, eh? Here's Jimmy Page's prototype of what would become part of the Zeppelin sound.

The Yardbirds ~ "Think About It"

Not too long after Zeppelin was formed, Jimmy pulled the guitar solo from "Think About It" and used it in this tune we all know.

Led Zeppelin ~ "Dazed and Confused"

Stone Temple Pilots - Big Bang Baby

Love this music video, too & Scott's groovin' movin' (R.I.P.) ~ It wasn't full of bugs &/or garbage dumps like other 90s music vids!

Yeah I do hear it around 2 mins in maybe. Cool, now I randomly want to listen to Led Zep but I'll post something different.

That Jimmy Page was an interesting character. If you're a fan I'm sure you know who helped name his band(lol) after declining an offer to be part of it.

Anyways, here's a song Jimmy featured on. Always loved the drums on this one. Hard to find a decent version of it on Youtube tho.

Oasis - Columbia

8) 8) 8)

Have numerous Oasis soundboard high-quality bootlegs, on bootleg labels & DVD's too.  Think this version is, if not the best, way up there.  Barrowlands, Glasgow; 2nd.  Hahah-it's difficult to choose w/them.  They're so bangin' & just kill it, live!

Live/Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, Canada 1995

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets - Found God in a Tomato

Cool. Kinda makes me want to fire up a doobie. If I was able, I would.

This one's going on my ever growing playlist.

Here's a Greek psychedelic band I came across about 5 years ago.

Purple Overdose ~ "Her Arms Embraced The Sun"

Hahaa if only. Sweet tune choice. Dig the super chilled out vibes  Will def check out their other stuff.

You miiiiight like this band - or at least one of the 15 albums they put out - most of which are best experienced as a whole ala Pink Floyd. A good deal of their work is reminiscent of psychedelic and prog rock. That said, their sound/what they’re capable of creating is still amazingly versatile and not limited to one genre. It’s hard to pluck out a song from any one album but to give you a general vibe:

KGATLW - The Fourth Colour

Here’s another that differs pretty heavily from most of their stuff, isn’t sung by the lead singer, but is a stand out imo.

KGATLW – Let Me Mend the Past

✌️
