[La...] Posted January 28, 2016 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Here's a link to a tweet that Dr. David Juurlink (internist, toxicologist, pharmacologist) sent to the CDC about its opioid guidelines. Some of the harms that he discusses for opioids are similar to those found with benzodiazepines, e.g. physical dependence, falls, fractures, changed sleep architecture, etc. Of course, benzos are different drugs and have different side effects, but when he refers to unknown numbers of people affected by the opioids, I also think of those untold numbers harmed by benzos. The whole last paragraph is about physical dependence, which is exactly what happens with benzodiazepines. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
