Her psychiatrist told her no - interesting and encouraging. Glad to see some stories getting out about the z-drugs. Wish they had identified which drug. [Te...]
I wish they'd identified the drug, too, Seeking. I'm wondering why they don't. People need to know the names of these pills. Maybe they're afraid they'll get backlash from the pharma company that manufactures them? Could even have been Klonopin, as that's often prescribed as a sleeping pill. This was an interesting story, and I'm glad that the woman didn't spend more time in w/d. Many people wouldn't be as lucky.
[Se...]
I agree Terry, she got off lightly. But I think many first-time users who are not on these drugs for long periods of time (ie years) can get off without many issues. My husband was put on zopiclone after his open heart surgery almost 4 years ago and after about 3 months of use at 15 mg (2 pills), he tapered over about a month then came off without issue. It was his first exposure to this drug. I am not sure why they do not identify the drug. It would be so helpful. Still, word is percolating out.
