Stopping ativan liquid taper -how to get back to pill form?

Had been on .5 ativan for 2 years

MD gave me a script for liquid -brought it to local compounding pharmacy.

I have had worsening side effects after 2 months of liquid.

For a variety of reasons I must go back to pills. I am 73 and will retire in the winter.

I will be able to resume taper at that time.

I have not gotten very far w/ liquid - .485

How do I get back to pills? I was thinking of alternating pill and liquid for about a week and then resuming pills.

Does this sound okay?
