This systematic review and meta-synthesis of "eight studies from seven countries published between 1993 and 2010" provides a unique and in-depth look at why doctors make the decision to prescribe or not to prescribe benzodiazepines. It's not often that you get an insider's view into medical decision-making, but this study provides a good opportunity.
