For all BB's who may have been following the Dan Markinson's case, a tragic death of a young man,  forced into a human test subject drug trial, at the department of psychiatry, to which the Department chair and his colleague heading the trial, were paid by industry for human test subject enrollment.

 

An independent, outside review panel has concluded the following:

It leaves us wondering why the University of Minnesota has a Center for Bioethics when University officials will not meet with the center’s faculty to discuss the very real and important bioethical questions the Markingson case raised."

 

I think I can guess why- liability.
