I can't tell you how excited I am to read your post. Finally, some case law! Really a great piece.

25% of patients is ridiculously high. 

 

I doubt this will have a wider impact but good to see action has been taken by the Medical Council.

 

The poor patients!!  They will presumably have to get off these drugs now.

Good on the Irish...about bloody time and all. I would have loved to see.....

 

Doctor found guilty, has to go to Prison . In there he has to have a therapy

 

on Benzos...three times a day for months.....and then stopped .......

 

taperplan refused by the Cork judge, yess Sir......good for the Irish.

Sheesh. Plus the article indicated this jerk doctor didn't think he was causing any harm.

Maybe we'll see some of his unlucky patients on BB.

Great article.

Sadly, in the US, long term benzo prescribing is permitted by Pdoc's and meets the community standard of care.

Laws need to be changed..........
