Ativan to Depakote

Going cold turkey off of 10 mg of ativan a day.  Doc is putting me on depakote any thoughts.  I abuse the ativan and want to be free of all of it so.

I wish you luck. I take it that you have read The Ashton Manual and understand that quitting benzos cold turkey is not the best way but understand if you don't think you have the discipline to taper. The depakote is to control any seizures that might occur from the cold turkey.

Depakote is serious business. If you're a woman and planning on getting pregnant, do not do so while taking depakote.  It causes "monstrosities." That's one hell of a side effect.
