[La...]
This Korean study is looking at the use of Etifoxine (Stresam) for pain patients (including those with peripheral nerve pain and chemotherapy pain) who also suffer with anxiety. I understand that it has been available in Europe for many years, but I'm not aware if it's available in North America. According to this study, it's a "non-benzodiazepine anxiolytic with an anticonvulsant effect", and "It does not usually cause any withdrawal syndromes." One of the documents below states that it's "non-addictive" and "non-sedating". If someone has personal experience with this medication, it would be really interesting to hear how well it worked -- especially for the promotion of "peripheral nerve healing". I'll include the link to the PubMed abstract, plus a link to the Wikipedia entry and two related articles: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25589941 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etifoxine http://www.pnas.org/content/105/51/20505.abstract?etoc http://www.ng-dg.com/news.php

[La...]
It does sound good -- almost too good to be true -- especially for peripheral nerve issues. Also, it's hard for me to believe that there's an anxiolytic that isn't addictive or sedating, so I'd want to see more info.
[sc...]
I have had a very big rude awakening by researching on this site. It p***** me off that the public have to fend for ourselves and can't even trust the very people who were sworn to do us no harm. But I enjoy the articles you post, they keep me informed
