2015 Study: "Etifoxine for pain patients with anxiety"

This Korean study is looking at the use of Etifoxine (Stresam) for pain patients (including those with peripheral nerve pain and chemotherapy pain) who also suffer with anxiety.  I understand that it has been available in Europe for many years, but I'm not aware if it's available in North America. According to this study, it's a "non-benzodiazepine anxiolytic with an anticonvulsant effect", and "It does not usually cause any withdrawal syndromes." One of the documents below states that it's "non-addictive" and "non-sedating".

If someone has personal experience with this medication, it would be really interesting to hear how well it worked -- especially for the promotion of "peripheral nerve healing".

I'll include the link to the PubMed abstract, plus a link to the Wikipedia entry and two related articles:

It does sound good -- almost too good to be true -- especially for peripheral nerve issues. Also, it's hard for me to believe that there's an anxiolytic that isn't addictive or sedating, so I'd want to see more info.

I have had a very big rude awakening by researching on this site.  It p***** me off that the public have to fend for ourselves and can't even trust the very people who were sworn to do us no harm.  But I enjoy the articles you post, they keep me informed
