Sex on a taper

There's definitely more openness than there used to be (and I was in the sexual revolution generation).  If you 'boomers' really want to challenge yourself, try playing Cards Against Humanity with a bunch of 20ish year-olds.  Talk about awkward (but it was fun).

I can imagine.

I lived in a Country town a few years ago and became friends with some Muso's - the lead singer was 20, the guitarist 29 and the bass the 29 year olds dad and drummer his uncle.

This meant that I had friends of all ages. I think it opened my eyes to a lot of things. The younger generation think nothing of gender but only of pleasure. I also noticed they were often more money conscious and less experimental with illicit substances than my generation was. My generation all smoked - not so much these days (progress indeed!)

And my old 20 year old Datson I drove when I was young - no way! They all have fancy new cars with airbags and they keep them clean!

The boys do tend to like the "older woman" so it was very flattering. I am a one man woman however so flattering was all it went.

I hope this isn't crossing any boundaries, I am hoping it is just passing on my observations.

i actually prefer giving or recieving oral sex

This turns me on too. 69 is my favourite number  ;)

will you marry me?  Can't tell my wife tho. ;)

I feel really bad for your wife. A husband and wife should be faithful in all their outside interactions. She is probably trying to be a great support as you go through your withdrawal and your on here hitting on other women. That is not the point of this forum. I was very sorry to read most of this thread. And happy to see the moderator step in and remind us what is appropriate and what is not. Certainly no spouse deserves this.

I took this as (inappropriate) joking around, fighter8886.  Sometimes a little levity is just what is needed, but not over the line like some posts in this thread are.

Pretty difficult for me to imagine anybody taking your comment (about marriage) seriously.  But then this is an international forum, and some cultures are not as open/progressive as western cultures.  Maybe we need a separate area where like-minded people can talk (and even joke) about the 's' subject without offending those who have difficulty with the subject being openly discussed.  It's not that I want an x-rated porn area in this forum, but I don't see a problem with mature, willing individuals to have r-rated discussions.

I have just read the thread and find nothing wrong with any bodies comments about sex or even the joke that was mentioned.

Maybe I have a thick skin?

Babyangel, we've had this discussion with you a number of times and frankly I'm surprised that you're surprised.  Here is Juliea's response earlier in the thread when one of your posts was reported by someone who was offended.

Hello everyone:

We welcome discussions of all kinds, including those related to sexual disfunction during benzo withdrawal.  This thread started out with some serious discussions but is now starting to descend into a form of entertainment and joking as well as descriptions of sexual situations that have nothing to do with benzodiazepine withdrawal.

I am posting to remind you all that your conversations about sex must be related to how withdrawal affects this part of your life.

Here is a reminder of our guidance on this subject:

"You must not knowingly post false statements, nor obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful or threatening comments/material. Additionally, your contributions must not violate the laws of the United Kingdom, the United States of America, nor the laws of your own country."

The above does not prohibit the discussion of sexual dysfunction, nor emotional problems around the subject of sex as related to benzo withdrawal. But, discussions about 'sex' itself, and (sexual) vulgarities and 'sex jokes' are not allowed here. The reasons for the rule should be obvious, but for those who seem oblivious to such social norms: would you make such comments in real-world mixed company, or in front of strangers? The answer should be 'no'! BB tries to cater to as wide an audience as possible. Please do not post any more sexually oriented material unless the post complies with our posting guidelines.

Thank you.

Juliea

I am a very liberal 43 yr old post menopausal woman who is married to someone with ED so dealing with a lot of complications with sex in my relationship. My husband, friends and I discuss sex and the problems very openly. I am not a prude at all. In fact, I have been known to be too open! Shocking people with how I talk. But in this case, I didn't think it was appropriate to get so graphic and explicit on a forum where people don't know people. I thought it went too far for a forum like this. Sorry, but when you are on a public forum you have to respect everyone's feelings. An educated mature conversation on the issues of sex while on benzos is what people thought was going to be in this post...not what it ended up being. Which I thought went way to far for this forum. That's where the problem was IMO.

For the first time, I feel lucky that I am single. I wish I were Jerry's wife, so we'd both have the same problem.

With regards to considering people's feelings, I think calling people inappropriate and gross is as insensitive as talking openly about sex.

Just my two cents.

I have never been a fan of hypocrisy - I know this post won't be well received by some. But honesty is my curse.

I stand by what I thought. Think what you want about me....I don't care.

I understand the rules on this forum and post in accordance with them, however, no BB has ever posted anything that I have found offensive since joining 1 year ago. I may vehemently disagree with a position taken, but can't ever recall being offended. I appreciate honesty and candid communications on any subject.  :)

For the record I never said I was offended. I did say it got gross and felt it was inappropriate for the forum. I never said who or picked out one person that was at fault. I wasn't judging anyone, I just didn't think it was an appropriate convo for this type of forum.

Katie, you don't need to apologize to me. I wasn't offended personally by that kind of talk, trust me, I am no stranger to it. I just thought it went too far for this kind of forum. And for the record, I was never going to complain nor did I. The moderators jumped in bc OTHER members complained. Not bc of me.

I don't think anything bad about you or anyone else on this forum.

I think everyone is allowed their opinion. It was an observation that's all.

All I want from this forum is support kindness and understanding, and that is also what I want to contribute. Please don't take anything personally.

I hope I haven't offended anyone, and will try my best not to in the future.

OK, well then, WHAT was the subject? Oh, yeah, well, from the guy standing outside the ring, it sounds like my needs and wants must be subservient to my buddy's needs. I may not like it, but I don't like crunchy peanut butter either...if the time should arise, then fine, but both folks need to enjoy this, or it's kinda self-service...I sincerely hope this isn't taken in the wrong way. It's an awkward subject for many, and levity is a means of making the discussion more palateable. If it isn't enjoyable, or causes waves, or it's Thursday(and Thursdays are forbidden)...it is what it is. If it is an injury of another type, IT IS STILL AN INJURY. if it does you good, GO FOR IT. Not really that complicated if it wasn't for rampant, emotional, panic-born, irrational, physically-demanding, dysfunctional F E E L I N G S...Gee, I feel better... :smitten:

Zip on the sex drive. My heart rate goes up and I get anxious. Poor husband of mine.

I still have my sex drive, but I can't act on it!  The rush of endorphins throws me into a wave.  No fair lol
