Vodka Users Question.

Can anyone tell me what proof  vodka you use, it seems it makes a difference,

the stronger the better it seems.

80 proof works great

Most vodkas are 80 proof (40% alcohol).  That will work just fine.

 

I would NOT recommend using a "diluted" vodka (typically 40 proof) that is sold in carry-outs and grocery stores in some states.

1ml of 80 proof vodka (40% alcohol) will dissolve only 1.9mg diazepam.  So for a 2mg tab 1ml is ALMOST enough.  You'd need more than 1ml to give yourself some breathing room.  But if you use 1ml of Everclear 151 (75% alcohol) it can dissolve 25mg.  Use the high proof!  The relationship is not a straight line!

I want to dissolve 1mg of diazepam so I'm guessing 40 proof would be ok.

Hi Wanna,  40 proof will dissolve .2mg for each ml used, which is really not enough.  80 proof will dissolve 1.9mg.  150 proof will dissolve 25mg.  I'd use a the highest proof you can get.

I'm laid up with a chest infection  at the minute so not able to get out.

I'm going to start doing a daily taper,  hopefully starting at the weekend.
