Thanks so much everyone!  Even though my road was much shorter than others, there were still some really hard spots I might not have come over if I didn't have a place to share it.

 

I am one week free as of today and so far ok.  The past few days have been stressful but more from the new diagnosis and that unknown.  It is hard to separate what might be withdrawal and what might be from this thing in my head!

 

My first day off (Christmas) I had a rough hour or two in the morning where I felt very unreal, not myself...just kept telling myself it was the benzo and not me and if I needed to take a moment and cry that was fine!  The rest of the day was ok though I was a little nauseous every time I ate.  The intermittent nausea lasted for a few days but no more bouts of "unreality".  Still have occasional numbness in the face but that may not be the benzo.  Overall, I feel better than I did.  I have even had one anxiety attack since I have been off but it was nowhere near the horrible one I had last on the lorazepam! I have noticed that it is easier to read (whew!)

 

Again, thank you all so much!!!! Take care and I will pop in every now and then to check on you all.  My days lately have been sort of consumed with the new diagnosis, I go to see the neurologist on Tuesday and then for a second opinion and a consult with a neurosurgeon sometime after that. 

 

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers!
