How do u know if you have kindled?

I have started and stopped benzos several times beginning in 2008 until I quit altogether in 2013.

Have I kindled?  How would I know it if I have?

I'm so afraid I have fried my cns. I'm almost into my 14th month and live in a CONSTANT state of high anxiety and bad depression.

I have had a few windows early in my W/d and 3 weeks in march of this year.  Nothing since then.

I'm really scared.

Someone help this person out? Bobsdaughter I think someone will chime in for you. Hope you get relief that's crazy. Some people don't get many windows but get more baseline gradual healing and still heal all the way..I think you'll have rapid healing soon within the next six..hang in there and don't get discouraged.

This is just my opinion, Bobsdaughter, but I think if we're here, it's likely we've kindled sometime in the past.  I stopped Temazepam cold turkey once my doctor prescribed Xanax and though I don't remember feeling withdrawal (the first w/d is often not even noticed much), when I went to taper the Xanax I ran into trouble.

Each withdrawal leads to the possibility of worsening the kindling…not that it always happens, but once we've had a problem withdrawing then it's best to avoid taking a benzo ever again.

Thank you, it's my life, for your concern and challis for your response.

I wished my doctor in 2008 who is a drug addiction specialist and voted a top doc in the city where I live had told me to never take another Benzo. I got well in 2008 but starting taking them again on a stressful business trip to sleep maybe 6 nights in a row.  Three weeks later woke up anxious.

She never said anything about never use the benzos again.

I never heard of kindling until 2012. I basically diagnosed myself.

I've got to suck this up and keep putting one foot in front of the other, as we all must do, until that glorious day, when we are well again.

Btw, I googled kindling benzobuddies and found some old posts that helped me.
