There, on the very edge of the Earth,

In an unprecedented blue distance,

Hearken to the sounds of unprecedented words,

Sweetly, sweetly, the blood stops.

There the winds fly, touching the stars,

There trees are not afraid of thunderstorms,

Ships rave over the ocean,

There, on the very edge of the Earth.

What are you, heart, tearing out of your chest?

Wait a bit, wait,

A clear voice in the sky sings,

Bright noon rises above the Ground.

Sade - By Your Side

https://youtu.be/xiZEtZcKQUU

You think I'd leave your side baby

You know me better than that

You think I'd leave you down when you're down on your knees

I wouldn't do that

I'll tell you you're right when you want

And if only you could see into me

Oh, when you're cold

I'll be there

Hold you tight to me

When you're on my outside baby and you can`t get in

I will show you you're so much better than you know

When you're lost and you're alone and you can't get back again

I will find you darling and I will bring you home

And if you want to cry

I am here to dry your eyes

And in no time

You'll be fine

You think I'd leave your side baby

You know me better than that

You think I'd leave you down when you're down on your knees

I wouldn't do that

I'll tell you you're right when you want

And if only you could see into me

Oh when you're cold

I'll be there

Hold you tight to me

Oh when you're low

I'll be there

By your side baby

Oh when you're cold

I'll be there

Hold you tight to me

Oh when you're low

I'll be there

By your side baby

The musician hung his coat on the back of a chair.

He straightened the black bow around his neck with a nervous hand.

Come closer so you can hear better.

If you're not too drunk yet.

Chorus:

About the unfortunate and happy, about good and evil,

About fierce hatred and Holy love.

What is happening, what was happening on your land

Everything in this music you just catch..

Things are buzzing around you, your years are running.

You didn't always remember why you were born.

The sounds of the violin will Wake up all the living things hidden in you

If you're not too drunk yet.

Chorus:

About the unfortunate and happy, about good and evil,

About fierce hatred and Holy love.

What is happening, what was happening on your land

Everything in this music you just catch..

The violin is tired, though someone will grow old with pain and fear.

The Fiddler was tired and took a SIP of wine, pulling on his tailcoat..

And left without saying goodbye, forgetting the mute case.

As if the old man was drunk today.

And the melody remained a breeze in the leaves,

Barely perceptible among the human noise.

About the unfortunate and happy, about good and evil,

About fierce hatred and Holy love...

Let it Be by the Beatles! ❤️

When I find myself in times of trouble

Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

And in my hour of darkness

She is standing right in front of me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be.

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people

Living in the world agree,

There will be an answer, let it be.

For though they may be parted there is

Still a chance that they will see

There will be an answer, let it be

Let it be, let it be. Yeah

There will be an answer, let it be.

And when the night is cloudy,

There is still a light that shines on me,

Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.

I wake up to the sound of music

Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be.

There will be an answer, let it be.

Let it be, let it be,

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

My all time favorite!

https://youtu.be/uAsV5-Hv-7Umerican Pie

American Pie

Don McLean

A long long time ago

I can still remember how that music

Used to make me smile

And I knew if I had my chance

That I could make those people dance

And maybe they'd be happy for a while

But February made me shiver

With every paper I'd deliver

Bad news on the doorstep

I couldn't take one more step

I can't remember if I cried when I

Read about his widowed bride

But something touched me deep inside

The day the music

Died

So bye, bye Miss American Pie

Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry

Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n' Rye

Singin' this'll be the day that I die

This'll be the day that I die

Did you write the book of love

And do you have faith in God above

If the Bible tells you so?

Now do you believe in rock and roll?

Can music save your mortal soul?

And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

Well, I know that you're in love with him

'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym

You both kicked off your shoes

Man, I dig those rhythm and blues

I was a lonely teenage broncin' buck

With a pink carnation and a pickup truck

But I knew I was out of luck

The day the music died

I started singin' bye, bye Miss American Pie

Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry

Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n' Rye

Singin' this'll be the day that I die

This'll be the day that I die

Now, for ten years we've been on our own

And moss grows fat on a rolling stone

But, that's not how it used to be

When the jester sang for the king and queen

In a coat he borrowed from James Dean

And a voice that came from you and me

Oh, and while the king was looking down

The jester stole his thorny crown

The courtroom was adjourned

No verdict was returned

And while Lennon read a book on Marx

The quartet practiced in the park

And we sang dirges in the dark

The day the music died

We were singin' bye, bye Miss American Pie

Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry

Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey 'n' Rye

Singin' this'll be the day that I die

This'll be the day that I die

Bye, bye Miss American Pie

The Cranberries - When You’re Gone

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Hold onto love

That is what I do

Now that I've found you

And from above

Everything's stinking

They're not around you

And in the night

I could be helpless

I could be lonely

Sleeping without you

And in the day

Everything's complex

There's nothing simple

When I'm not around you

But I miss you when you're gone

That is what I do

Hey, baby

And it's going to carry on

That is what I knew

Hey, baby

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Hold onto my hands

I feel I'm sinking

Sinking without you

And to my mind

Everything's stinking

Stinking without you

And miss you when you're gone

That is what I do

Hey, baby

And it's going to carry on

That is what I knew

Hey, baby

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Hey, baby

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Do-be-da, do-be-da

Hey, baby

Autamata - Out of This

Out of this

I will confront you at last you dreaded empty

When I met you in others I fell in love

From the bottle, to the cradle, to the needle to the bed

We all need something to deliver us from dread

But I believe in truth

Out of this noise, here comes the stillness

Out of this chaos, here comes the order

Out of this language, out of this language

Out of these words

And a hollow man leaves you empty-handed

With fingers carved from Asian ivory

From the cradle, to the treadmill, to the rocker, to the last sigh

Some are made happy when something dies

Out of this...

Shitsujo, seijaku, shinjitsu

Out of patience, out of deed

Out of courage, out of me

Out of reason, out of truth

Out of conscience, out of you

Konran kara shitsujo ga umare

Soon kara seijaku ga umareru

Shinjitsu wa ai o umu

Out of this...

(Everything I Do) I Do It For You - Bryan Adams

Look into my eyes

You will see

What you mean to me

Search your heart

Search your soul

And when you find me there

You'll search no more

Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for

You can't tell me it's not worth dyin' for

You know it's true

Everything I do

I do it for you

Look into your heart

You will find

There's nothin' there to hide

Take me as I am

Take my life

I would give it all

I would sacrifice

Don't tell me it's not worth fightin' for

I can't help it, there's nothin' I want more

You know it's true

Everything I do

I do it for you

There's no love

Like your love

And no other

Could give more love

There's nowhere

Unless you're there

All the time

All the way, yeah

Look into your heart, baby

Oh you can't tell me it's not worth tryin' for

I can't help it, there's nothin' I want more

Yeah, I would fight for you

I lie for you

Walk the wire for you

Yeah, I'd die for you

You know it's true

Everything I do

Oh

I do it for you

Everything I do, darling

And we'll see it through

Oh we'll see it through

Oh yeah

Yeah

Look into your heart

Look at your soul

You can't tell me it ain't worth dying for

Oh yeah

I'll be there, yeah

I'll walk the wire for you

I will die for you

Oh yeah

I would die for you

I'm going all the way, all they way, yeah

“Lean on Me”

Bill Withers

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain

We all have sorrow

But if we are wise

We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend

I'll help you carry on

For it won't be long

'Til I'm gonna need

Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride

If I have things you need to borrow

For no one can fill those of your needs

That you won't let show

You just call on me brother, when you need a hand

We all need somebody to lean on

I just might have a problem that you'll understand

We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me, when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend

I'll help you carry on

For it won't be long

'Til I'm gonna need

Somebody to lean on

You just call on me brother, when you need a hand

We all need somebody to lean on

I just might have a problem that you'll understand

We all need somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear

That you can't carry

I'm right up the road

I'll share your load

If you just call me (call me)

If you need a friend (call me) call me uh huh(call me) if you need a friend (call me)

If you ever need a friend (call me)

Call me (call me) call me (call me) call me

(Call me) call me (call me) if you need a friend

(Call me) call me (call me) call me (call me) call me (call me) call me (call me)

I'll preface by saying I don't often dig back into older music.  There's just always so much new-to-discover (though you'd never know that by mainstream; I research & dig amongst indie.) &/or something that I've missed from prior years, like the B-lists of the Britpop bands of the 90s, I'm not that familiar with.  This is just released March 27, 2020.  Too new for lyrics even to be downloaded on any lyric website.  It's a debut.  Quite talented!

The album pushes her in different directions, and acts both as a sort of break-up album, and "a reckoning with myself..."

- From Clashmusic: This new song is perhaps more direct than other moments on the LP, with the glacial electronics acting as a background for classic pop tropes.

The two aesthetic stances interweave, resulting in something odd but extremely infectious.

She comments... “‘Yesterday Is Gone’ is more of a straight pop song than the others on the album. It’s about the intractability and muddiness of time passing. At the time I wrote the song, I was super into 60s pop music and the idea of what makes a classic song classic.”

Dana adds: “I was toying between being more obvious in my lyrics and progressions while still tending to feelings hard to describe.”

False Prophet

WRITTEN BY: BOB DYLAN

1.

Another day without end - another ship going out

Another day of anger - bitterness and doubt

I know how it happened - I saw it begin

I opened my heart to the world and the world came in

2.

Hello Mary Lou - Hello Miss Pearl

My fleet footed guides from the underworld

No stars in the sky shine brighter then you

You girls mean business and I do too

3.

I’m the enemy of treason - the enemy of strife

I’m the enemy of the unlived meaningless life

I ain’t no false prophet - I just know what I know

I go where only the lonely can go

4.

I’m first among equals - second to none

I’m last of the best - you can bury the rest

Bury ’em naked with their silver and gold

Put ’em six feet under and then pray for their souls

5.

What are you lookin’ at - there’s nothing to see

Just a cool breeze encircling me

Let’s walk in the garden - so far and so wide

We can sit in the shade by the fountain side

6.

You don’t know me darlin’ - you never would guess

I’m nothing like my ghostly appearance would suggest

I ain’t no False Prophet - I just said what I said

I’m here to bring vengeance on somebody’s head

7.

I’ve searched the world over for the Holy Grail

I sing songs of love - I sing songs of betrayal

Don’t care what I drink - don’t care what I eat

I climbed a mountain of swords on my bare feet

8.

Put out your hand - there’s nothin’ to hold

Open your mouth - I’ll stuff it with gold

Oh you poor Devil - look up if you will

The City of God is there on the hill

9.

Hello stranger - Hello and goodbye

You rule the land but so do I

You lusty old mule - you got a poisoned brain

I’m gonna’ marry you to a ball and chain

10.

You know darlin’ the kind of life that I live

When your smile meets my smile - somethings got to give

I ain’t no false prophet - I’m nobody’s bride

Can’t remember when I was born and I forgot when I died

"Bob Dylan Cancels US Tour but a New Album is Coming Soon

13 May 2020

Bob Dylan's U.S. summer tour has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was due to begin on June 4th and to finish on July 12th in Bethel Woods, New York at Bethel Woods Center of the Arts, but will not be rescheduled for 2020. "We hope to be back out on the road at the earliest possible time once we are confident that it is safe for both fans and concert staff," Bob Dylan wrote on Twitter.

The news follows an announcement made late last week confirming that Bob Dylan will release his first album of original material in eight years, Rough and Rowdy Ways. In recent weeks fans have been surprised by new song releases from Dylan, including the almost 17-minute epic, 'Murder Most Foul', which lead to him securing his first No.1 on the US Billboard chart. The album has 10 tracks, and for the CD release, 'Murder Most Foul' will have its own disc. The ballad is rich with cultural references including lyrics about Etta James, Stevie Nicks, the Beatles, and Woodstock. Genesis subscribers will be familiar with Dylan in Woodstock, which gives a fascinating insight into Bob Dylan's time at the festival.

Rough and Rowdy Ways has been revealed with the release of a third song from the album, 'False Prophet'. You can listen to his latest song here.

The album, out June 19th, is now available to pre-order."

Another song from Bob Dylan's new album:

"Murder Most Foul"

Lyrics:

Twas a dark day in Dallas, November '63

A day that will live on in infamy

President Kennedy was a-ridin' high

Good day to be livin' and a good day to die

Being led to the slaughter like a sacrificial lamb

He said, "Wait a minute, boys, you know who I am?"

"Of course we do, we know who you are"

Then they blew off his head while he was still in the car

Shot down like a dog in broad daylight

Was a matter of timing and the timing was right

You gotta pay debts, we've come to collect

We're gonna kill you with hatred, without any respect

We'll mock you and shock you and we'll put it in your face

We've already got someone here to take your place

The day they blew out the brains of the king

Thousands were watching, no one saw a thing

It happened so quickly, so quick, by surprise

Right there in front of everyone's eyes

Greatest magic trick ever under the sun

Perfectly executed, skillfully done

Wolfman, oh wolfman, oh wolfman howl

Rub-a-dub-dub, it's a murder most foul

Hush, little children, you'll understand

The Beatles are comin', they're gonna hold your hand

Slide down the banister, go get your coat

Ferry 'cross the Mersey and go for the throat

There's three bums comin' all dressed in rags

Pick up the pieces and lower the flags

I'm going to Woodstock, it's the Aquarian Age

Then I'll go to Altamont and sit near the stage

Put your head out the window, let the good times roll

There's a party going on behind the Grassy Knoll

Stack up the bricks, pour the cement

Don't say Dallas don't love you, Mr. President

Put your foot in the tank and step on the gas

Try to make it to the triple underpass

Blackface singer, whiteface clown

Better not show your faces after the sun goes down

Up in the red light district, they've got cop on the beat

Living in a nightmare on Elm Street

When you're down in Deep Ellum, put your money in your shoe

Don't ask what your country can do for you

Cash on the ballot, money to burn

Dealey Plaza, make a left-hand turn

I'm going down to the crossroads, gonna flag a ride

The place where faith, hope, and charity died

Shoot him while he runs, boy

Shoot him while you can

See if you can shoot the invisible man

Goodbye, Charlie

Goodbye, Uncle Sam

Frankly, my Scarlet, I don't give a damn

What is the truth, and where did it go?

Ask Oswald and Ruby, they oughta know

"Shut your mouth, " said the wise old owl

Business is business, and it's a murder most foul

Tommy, can you hear me?

I'm the Acid Queen

I'm riding in a long, black Lincoln limousine

Riding in the backseat next to my wife

Heading straight on in to the afterlife

I'm leaning to the left, got my head in her lap

Hold on, I've been led into some kind of a trap

Where we ask no quarter, and no quarter do we give

We're right down the street from the street where you live

They mutilated his body, and they took out his brain

What more could they do?

They piled on the pain

But his soul's not there where it was supposed to be at

For the last fifty years they've been searchin' for that

Freedom, oh freedom

Freedom above me

I hate to tell you, mister, but only dead men are free

Send me some lovin', tell me no lies

Throw the gun in the gutter and walk on by

Wake up, little Suzie, let's go for a drive

Cross the Trinity River, let's keep hope alive

Turn the radio on, don't touch the dials

Parkland hospital, only six more miles

You got me dizzy, Miss Lizzy

You filled me with lead

That magic bullet of yours has gone to my head

I'm just a patsy like Patsy Cline

Never shot anyone from in front or behind

I've blood in my eye, got blood in my ear

I'm never gonna make it to the new frontier

Zapruder's film I've seen that before

Seen it 33 times, maybe more

It's vile and deceitful

It's cruel and it's mean

Ugliest thing that you ever have seen

They killed him once and they killed him twice

Killed him like a human sacrifice

The day that they killed him, someone said to me, "Son

The age of the Antichrist has just only begun"

Air Force One coming in through the gate

Johnson sworn in at 2:38

Let me know when you decide to thrown in the towel

It is what it is, and it's murder most foul

What's new, pussycat?

What'd I say?

I said the soul of a nation been torn away

And it's beginning to go into a slow decay

And that it's 36 hours past Judgment Day

Wolfman Jack, he's speaking in tongues

He's going on and on at the top of his lungs

Play me a song, Mr. Wolfman Jack

Play it for me in my long Cadillac

Alanis Morissette - Diagnosis

from new album Such Pretty Forks In The road to be released July 31, 2020.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yww-RfgSK8s

Call it what you want

'Cause I don't even care anymore

Call me what you need to

To make yourself comfortable

I've not left the house in a while

I've not felt a glimpse of ease

And I have not made much headway

Since I have come back from the war

And I no longer give a damn

Bout things that used to matter

And I am covering my eyes

As I am frozen on the spot

And call it what you want

'Cause I don't even care anymore

Call me what you need to

To make yourself comfortable

So I am debilitated

I can't remember where the sentence started when I'm trying to finish it

And all of you are so frustrated

And everyone around me is trying to help as much as they can

My house is spotless, my lens is

Skewed, my limbs they recoil

And I'm folding in on myself

Since I am out of order

Call it what you want

'Cause I don't even care anymore

Call me what you want to

To make yourself comfortable

So I am debilitated

I can't remember where the sentence started when I'm trying to finish it

And all of you are so frustrated

And everyone around me is trying to help as much as they can

But I'm alone in this meltdown

Of nervousness diagnosis

Call it what you want

'Cause I don't even care anymore

Call me what you need to

To make yourself comfortable

So I am debilitated

I can't remember where the sentence started when I'm trying to finish it

And all of you are so frustrated

And everyone around me is trying to help as much as they can

Call it what you want

Call me what you need to

To feel comfortable

We are simple girls

Without gold earrings

Here is such gold

But beautiful at the same time

Look from all sides

Look ... from all sides…

Dance Russia and cry Europe

And I have the most, most, most beautiful ass

Dance Russia and cry Europe

And I have the most, most, most beautiful ass

Oligarchs are not a question

Millions of red roses

At my feet

I'm a simple girl

Without gold earrings

Here is such gold

Dance Russia and cry Europe

And I have the most, most, most beautiful ass

Dance Russia and cry Europe

And I have the most, most, most beautiful ass

Jimmy Eat World “The Middle”

“ Hey, don't write yourself off yet.

It's only in your head, you feel left out

Or looked down on.

Just try your best, try everything you can.

Don't you worry what they tell themselves

When you're away.

It just takes some time,

Little girl you're in the middle of the ride,

Everything, everything will be just fine.

Everything, everything will be alright. (alright)

Hey, you know they're all the same.

You know you're doin' better on your own,

So don't buy in.

Live right now, just be yourself.

It doesn't matter if it's good enough,

For someone else.

It just takes some time,

Little girl you're in the middle of the ride,

Everything, everything will be just fine.

Everything, everything will be alright. (alright)

Woooohhh!

Low - What Part of Me

What part of me don't you know?

What part of me don't you want?

What part of me don't you know?

What part of me don't you want?

Can't you see that I'm bleeding out here?

Waking up from a dream and I'm here

It's getting hard to believing out here

It's a 100 degrees out here.

What part of me don't you know?

What part of me don't you want?

What part of me don't you know?

What part of me don't you want?

Sometimes it scares to death

Sometimes it takes all my breath

Talking, talking and pleading all night

It must be somewhere to reach the other side

What part of me don't you know?

What part of me don't you want?

What part of me don't you know?

What part of me don't you want?

Don't you know, oh oh oh

Oh-oh, oh-oh

Oh-oh, oh-oh

Mega City Four - Severe Attack of the Truth

Well I've come this far

and I'm living proof

and I had myself

a severe attack of the truth

Well they brought me up

and they filled my head

but now I know

the things were wrong they said

It doesn't make the world go round

it doesn't make the world come crashing down

your life can mean something without it

you think you know better

tell me about it

Cos were all brought up

with our hopes and fears

but most of these are planted

through out the years

You gotta shut them out

get some truth

and have the courage to do whats best for you.

It doesn't make the world go round

it doesn't make the world come crashing down

your life can mean something without it

you think you know better

tell me about it
