Boy, that chart of the United States sure puts another twist on red states vs blue states.  Simply amazing the regional variations in prescribing.  Thanks for the link. 

I am not sure if 37 prescriptions per 100 people actually means that 37% of people are getting prescriptions. It may be that some people get more than one prescription. It can't be 37% surely??,

 

Can't find an explanation of this figure.

 

The regional and state comparisons are the same whatever the definition.

Thanks for the data. Very disheartening seeing my state rank 1st for opiates and 2nd for benzos. Why the hell is this.
