need schedule and compounding advice for 1mg ativan

Hi it has been a long time. i just gave upon trying to get off but have to try again. for me switching to valium made me suicidaly depressed. i am only on 1mg  of ativan which i take divided in 2 doses of .05mg. it is still a living hell even being on it. im sure i am in tolerance withdrawal but going up never made it really any better. im still not sure how coming down on even a fraction ever works considering the nature of this drug is to only want more. so my question because my brain can not handle math is, i have a compounding pharmacy. should i reduce one of the 0.5 down 10% and for how long. any advice appreciated?
