switch to two doses a day instead of one

Hi I just got my prescription for liquid valium and have a plan to titrate slowly.  But I'm wondering if it's better to start splitting the dose to 2 xs a day as I get lower.  I've been doing 11mg at night.

Hi,  I think the only reason to divide your dose is to fix interdose symptoms.  If you feel well and do not have trouble making it to the next dose then I'd say there is no reason to add a second dose.

I agree. If you are currently doing okay on one dose a day, I would leave well enough alone. I've always dosed once a day and never felt the need to change. However, if you start to feel the upswing of s/x, perhaps you could experiment with twice a day.

 

Having said that though, before you switch to twice a day I would check that my taper wasn't going too fast first.

thanks, it's hard to say.  I've been holding at 11 mg but seem to be getting worse so it could be interdose withdrawals
