Does rain calm you down?

I love rain.  We don't get much here in the desert SW.  It often wakes me up when it first begins hitting the roof, then then it puts me back to a wonderful sleep (as long as there's not much loud thunder).  I love the smell, and a part of me is aware of how much the desert plants must relish the moisture.  It's very calming.

I like when is raining as long as it's not daily. We do not have it often.

Rain is a natural anti-anxiety treatment for me.  Rain audios can be very comforting.

I have a white noise machine that also does rain, waterfalls, beaches, etc. It's really relaxing.

 

Also helps with tinnitus, too. 

Gosh, this post really drew me in because I am sitting here this morning, head is hopping with migraine and I feel sick today, really unwell and I am hoping for rain, watching the clouds, wishing for rain imagine!! It has been warm, sunny, dry for weeks, my body and mind are craving rain.....how is it possible I ask myself and then I see this post??? Others must be as sensitive as I am. I feel better just reading the posts here, thank you. I am not losing my mind.
