Has anyone found they don't have a faster heart beat but just a stronger one? Mine is really strong and I'n not sure what's causing it. I never had this issue but went back on benzos last July for 11 days and then stopped. I think it was since then but it could also be from lyrica WD after doing a pretty quick taper off in 1 month. The thing that is worrying me is that after I eat it gets a lot worse. Even if I eat just healthy food like even a salad my heart rate quickens and gets a lot stronger. I have a beta blocker but I don't really wanna use them if it's gonna act like a band-aid because Last time I took 60mg propronol my tinnitus spiked for a few days.

Time is the only cure based on my experience. BTW, the beta blocker would help but then you can't go off it with a worse result. The tinnitus is not connected to the beta blocker. It was a mere coincidence.

But honest, if you are in a serious withdrawal with significant cardiac events, why on earth are you complaining about tinnitus?

Forget tinnitus. It's of no consequence.

Heart rhythm disorders can be. Trust me, I know.

What is a strong heart rhythm?

My heart has done every trick in the book and it hospitalized me several times. I know which heart feelings are benign and which need emergency medicine after all this.

I am guessing you are referring to a simple pounding heart.

I have been feeling skips and blips for 5 days. Very frequent.  Adrenaline and cortisol surges. Like a nonstop panic attack from the minute I get up until I collapse from exhaustion.  Does anything help? My beta blocker doesn't  seem to be doing  jack.

I hope this is not off topic. I dont use pharmaceuticals and have found a soak in a cold tub, 57-58 degrees, every morning, with my vagus nerve fully submerged for 5 minutes, at least, has resolved the afib. I discovered the study on this after a 48 hour afib episode. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5025014/. It has been a boon in so many ways I can't stop taking the cold plunge in the morning. No afib, improved mood and stamina, and I'm old.

What is going on lately. It is over a year, tapered from 40 mg valium to 5. Cut too much to 3.75, palps through the roof. Updosed to 5 mg again. How are you all coping. Cardiologist says no tests needed, "see you in a year." I don't think he gets benzo wd, but he thinks stress and adrenaline kick in pvcs. Do you notice more heart sx after a cut?

Which symptoms would you not ignore? Are you doing ok?

If you have a wrist blood pressure cuff, I have Omron, any time you are measuring your blood pressure, if you have even one pvc, the "heart" symbol will come up on the final read. My sis told me don't  sweat it. Where I get into a mess is I start taking my bp every 5 mins, working myself up each time. I hate seeing that heart symbol indicating an irregular beat. Arrrrrrgh.

My wrist cuff doesn't have that but this am I decided to take my bp - hr was 98 but I didn't feel tachy hmmmmm....so I googled wrist bp cuffs and read the position your in is key!! You have to have your arm and wrist above or equal to where your heart is not below. I always have my arm and wrist below my heart doing it laying on a reclining chair. When I sat up and put my arm onto something it changed making me wonder how reliable have ANY of my readings been.

Has anyone had this issue?

I do not because my monitor shows when your arm is in the blue zone, meaning it is at the level of the heart.

Just began having these at around Month 32 for the first time. Suspect it may have something to do with alcohol I had ingested weeks prior. Normal to randomly get them this far out?

I recently had to withdraw from a medication called Addyi because it was causing a lot of horrible side effects.  I am pretty sure the other hormone stuff is causing me to be messed up as well.  The withdrawal effects from Addyi are even worse though and there is no official tapering process.  I switched the time I took all my nigthtime meds (Depakote Sprinkles and Klonopin) back to 9:00 PM like they would have me do if I were in an inpatient hospital.  I also used a sleep CBN.  How do we stop heart palpitations?

Yes!  Klonopin heart palpitations!  And I'm not even on a taper.  But it could be another clue that my low daily Klonopin dose is interpreted by my body as withdrawal, and I'm getting "interdose withdrawal" symptoms.

But yes, it is freaking scary.  More than once I've driven to a hospital and sat in my car outside the ER until it seemed safe to return home.  I bought a KardiaMobile (one lead home ECG.)  I wore a heart monitor for a week.

Even just now, after a dose of Klonopin and eating morning cereal, my heart took off.  I've wanted to do a Klonopin-Valium crossover and Valium taper.  Would heart palps be as bad on a Valium taper?

There's an opportunity (when you're wearing that heart monitor) to observe the mental 'stuff' that correlates with heartbeat spikes.  You can use it as kind of a real-time biofeedback monitor.  I saw that when I looped anxious thoughts, my pulse would skyrocket, so I learned not to loop anxious thoughts.

I vote it was the alcohol liveaboveit. I had chest pain but no palps till I drank alcohol a few months into ct.

What is wrong with magnesium? It helps my palps and anxiety. I use the Brand Calm.

Has anyone had palps since a stress setback or anything? I was gambling with friends for a few days at a casino and honestly felt like I went back to acute. Since then Ive had heart palps that Ive never had. They only come a few times during the day mainly when eating. But they make a weird flutter feeling. Ive had them for 3 months now.

Every now and then I'll get short bout of palps.  They never last long, and I don't know what causes the outburst.  Usually just lasts a minute or two then abates.

I never really paid much attention to palps before my withdrawal.  Maybe I've always had short little events like that.  Maybe it's totally normal and lots of people have them.  Maybe they're more common after meals.  ????    While I notice these little events, they cause me no concern.

Heck, I'm not sure what I'd do if I DIDN'T have palps. Long story, but it turns out that my thyroid med was causing massive palps and arrhythmia after the manufacturer completely changed it. I had no idea. Even after correcting that I still have issues. I've learned that that's really common for people not only tapering off benzos, but those who are still taking them full-time with no taper. Hang tight. There's a finish line out there somewhere!

Thank goodness for you! I am almost 4 months post jump, and was doing pretty well, then boom, back to acute sx. Esp. Palps, and especially at night, so I get the combo pack of night terror and beats that are all over the place. Damn benzos indeed.

Hi All,

I’m having lots of PVCs,PACs during withdrawal.  I’d say between 100-1000 depending on the day.  I’m at .25 mg clonazepam and how to be off in a few more months.  Can someone share if they get worse from here or if u are having them at this level , stay about the same through the rest of taper and  w/d

Thanks!

Everyone is so different.  Mine come in cycles. Try to chart to see if they get worse or better in different circumstances or food choices. It's so unnerving, isn't it?
