[Sp...]
The book Blood Orange Night, by Melissa Bond came on my radar a couple weeks before it was published. It was released last week here in the U.S. through Simon & Schuster, and I'm curious to read it. It's a memoir from a woman who went through intense benzo withdrawal while having two small kids. She was a prescribed user of Ambien, Ativan, and Xanax. I believe the author is a writer at the Mad in America website. This is the first memoir specifically about prescribed benzo WD I know of that's been released through one of the big trade publishers. I haven't read it yet but I put it on hold at the library. I figured some other folks might be into it (of course others may find it triggering). I'll report back after I read! [Li...]
THanks for the info. My library site goes down around this time at night, but I'll check tomorrow and put in a request if they don't have Blood Orange Night. Amazon has the audio version for free right now: https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Orange-Night-Benzodiazepine-Dependence/dp/1797141554
