Disassociated Feeling

Is a feeling of detachment common with Ativan? I never had this with Klonopin…well, it would come and go briefly every so often.  This is very disturbing!

The feeling of detachment is a horrible feeling and can be very disturbing.  I'm so sorry you're experiencing it.  Please know it is a very common withdrawal symptom.  My guess is that it's more likely a symptom of your system adjusting to your taper than anything specific to Ativan.  As you know symptoms can pop up and stay briefly, or for a while.  There can be no rhyme or reason which is frustrating.  But with time, these symptoms ease up and pass.  I hope it eases up for you soon.

It gets worse when I take the Ativan, then dissipates hours later. I may switch back to Klonopin. This is unbearable
