Does it matter how long Ive been on clonazepam re:tapering method?

I have read somewhere that if you havent been on it long that you can rapid taper?

I have been on .25 clonazepam twice daily since nov 8

I tried a week after I started to cut the morning dose in half but it did give me anxiety

 

Does the amount of time ive been on it matter? 

I am thinking of starting liquid titration after the new year when all the christmas stress is done but wanted to ask about this

I mean, the half life is 18-50 hours regardless of how long ive been on it so isnt rapid tapering a bad idea?

If you've only been taking the cllonazepam for 5 weeks you could almost certainly taper from it quite quickly, taking too long to taper would of course prolong the dependence.
