Tapering

Hi  everyone. I was on 1mg Lorazepam for 20 years following my husband's death. I switched to Diazepam a couple of years ago in order to taper. I'm now down to around 4mg Diazepam but I'm hitting a real wall, no sleep at all. Anyone else have this.

Hello Trevor Dowthwaite, welcome to BenzoBuddies,

Yes, insomnia is pretty universal around here but we haven’t found anything we can all agree on to help except for to get through the taper and recover from our use.  I took Klonopin for sleep and once I recovered, my sleep returned.

It sounds like you’re doing a slow taper, that would be my only suggestion would be to slow it down but sometimes we just have to accept this is the way it will be until we’re free and recovered.

I’ll provide some links to help you find your way around the forum but please make yourself at home.

Thanks Pamster.  I'm doing a very slow taper but this has been really bad. I had my 4th vaccine and that's when it started. I've heard that some people can't sleep after that.
