Wellbutrin

Has anyone used bupropion (Wellbutrin) when coming off benzos. 

Ignore this post.  Found info on it using search.  I'm thinking not a good idea

I tried trazodone and Seroquel, when tapering.

Both had side effects and I had to taper from them.

I'm back, know this is an older post but...Dr gave me bupropion (Wellbutrin).  Good idea or bad?

 

This is a hard question to answer.  Wellbutrin can be activating so if anxiety is a major issue for you I would  be careful.  In general we advise members to be very cautious about introducing new meds or supplements during tapering and withdrawal - what works for one person may have negative effects on another.  Our CNS is so sensitized by tapering and withdrawal we may not respond to these new substances as we would normally.  The take away is to proceed with caution.

He did say it could raise anxiety until it kicks in  I don't need more anxiety!
