What does "Perception mean?"

I want to say I'm having perceptional issue like my body feels weird, I'm seeing things altered... Is this perception? I'm in a very bad wave right now and everything is getting to me it's so scary

How are you feeling now, has this symptom changed or is it still with you?

It's still with me, it's morphing a lot. Especially my vision and the head sensations which at times feels like my head is splitting from reality... Im wondering if this counts as a altered perception or if there's a better word to use

I think its a good word but I especially like the fact that you can recognize it as a symptom, this has to help take away some of the fear that could be associated with what others would say is a break from reality.  For us, its simply another symptom in the list of hundreds of others we experience.
