Why do some people have worse symptoms then others?

One of the hardest aspect of this process is finding someone with symptoms even slightly close to yours, you're more then likely to run into individuals with the basics of symptoms such as blurred vison, anxiety, insomnia, memory problems and dizziness... I would give anything to have those over the crap I deal with daily, not only do my symptoms keep morphing and changing, progressively getting worse and worse but there seems to be no one with symptoms like mine and if you find someone with even remotely the same or at least in the ball park, theyre profile just ends around the same time they posted they're list. Example let's say you find someone struggling with visual issues outside of dizziness who posted in 2017...that seems to be they're last post which is so disheartening... Makes me think they've done the worst to escape this misery. There's no update, no pay off and no hope given for those of us who will most likely keep worse and worse long into protracted which is longer then 18 months. Why is it that some are able to get away with the basics of symptoms while others suffer so much more?

I know feeling like you do makes you think the worst, after all, this is what the drug does to us but I see things differently.

Our members are very diverse in how they use the forum.  Some people join, find out what they need to know and move on.  Others will stick around for a little while but leave for many reasons, the most common being the negativity they see here, we tend to be the worst of the worst and as you know, this can be very disheartening.  Others will leave because they have difficulty being on a device, I know I couldn't come to the forum very often when I was recovering.  Others leave so they can focus on their own recovery because as you know it's difficult to lift someone up when you're feeling so down, what happens is you can get dragged down in the process.

I don't know if we'll ever know why some suffer more than others, I'm sorry you're one of them.

Good question.  Same could be asked as to why side effects from medication is so diverse.  Some people have, say, just drowsiness, while others have paradoxical effects to a particular med.  Some meds work wonders for some, while not doing much, if anything, for others.

Probably some genetic factors playing a part in this.
