[Ga...]
Hi there, I've posted on here before about tapering from 5.mg of Klonopin, prescribed to me for sleep/ anxiety with Long Covid. I did an initial cut of 50% before finding BB. You all have given me good advice! It's been a month since that cut and I've mostly had GI issues with a little bit of anxiety/ depression. I am ready to start tapering more slowly. So I weighed the .5mg pill cut in half-.085mg and then I multiply by either .90 or .95 to get my next cut, correct? So .0765 for a 10% reduction? I was doing the math for the remaining cuts- at what point do you jump? I got down to .029- is that realistic? Thanks so much for your help, Adele
[he...]
Hi Adele, Yes, you just multiply your current dose by (1 minus the percent you want to cut in decimal form). So yes, a 10% reduction from a dose of 0.25 mg (half a 0.5-mg pill), would weigh .0765 g. .025 mg is the "Ashton-safe" jump dose.
