15 years on Xanax (Alprazolam)

I have been taking Xanax for fifteen years.

For ten years, my dose was 0.75 mg per day, then due to sleep problems, it became 1.25 mg.

A year and a half ago, I decided to try to wean off slowly and gradually.

I always cut 5% from the previous dose, then 3% every two weeks.

I had to stop about a month ago because my withdrawal symptoms didn't subside.

Currently, my daily dose is 0.32 mg, divided into four equal parts of 0.08 mg.

I would like to be a member of The Xanax Club of Support Groups.

You've done an amazing job of tapering your Xanax, but its common to have to slow down towards the end, some will even hold for months and that's okay too.  I'll provide some links to get you started but we're glad you've found us and hope we can help you off the last of your dose.
