Is Nitrous oxide safe?

Has anyone had any experience with Nitrous oxide? I have a dental appointment on the 16th,Some teeth need to come out, my dentist says I'll be using Luaghing Gas which I looked up, it's Nitrous oxide and effects seven neurotransmitters, GabaA, Glutamate and others... Has anyone had bad experiences with it?

I had a terrible experience at the dentist in January-I thought death was near for 4 days following.

Was it the nitrous or the novicaine? Perhaps both but I read novicaine had epinephrine in it so that could definitely be the culprit. Maybe ask for novicaine without that to be safe.

Also, for me, the nitrous did not calm me down-at all. Maybe you don’t need it?

Lastly, Ashton says it’s perfectly safe to take 1 benzo prior to surgery, so you may consider that too. 🙏
