Polysporin

Are all antibiotics bad, even topical ones? My son is afraid he’ll have a setback after using Polysporin (polymyxin) on a cut on his hand.

Please, please try to convince your son not to go down this rabbit hole!  Antibiotics can be life saving, and while some members have had unpleasant experiences with some of them, this doesn't happen to everyone.  The only class of antibiotics that most members can agree on to avoid is fluoroquinolone's, any others are strictly anecdotal and individual.

 

I've used topical creams often and haven't had any problems.
