5 months off, my life feels so amazing now

First of all I could not express enough how much I appreciate this community for existing. We move onward as a team.

 

So here I am 5 months off of benzos. Sleeping through nights like I used to 10 years ago. Showing affection to friends family and my lady friend which I was totally unable to do for years. Focusing on tasks and getting things done. This is how I remember life.

 

I encourage all of you to stay positive. I was the most hopeless case ever. Relapse after relapse after relapse after relapse. I was using Benzos like Candy, drinking and using drugs on top of it. I can’t believe it’s possible to be a person again but IT IS!!!

 

Thank you all for being there, I hope I can inspire at least 1 person to never give up the battle.

Congratulations that’s awesome! I have been having way more good than bad days vs early on it’s mostly bad days so it’s just been more consistent. It seems like every month further is a big help.
