Ambien Taper
« on: December 16, 2022, 10:50:48 pm »
Good evening (where I am).  Iím looking down the road to tapering the Ambien 10mg.  How can I taper the Ambien with its short half life?  Unfortunately Iím also prescribed Gabapentin 300mg daily and trazadone 50mg both of which Iíll be tackling at some point.  Iím not sure how one could dose them Ambien throughout the day but Iíve also only ever taken it at bedtime.  Iíve been prescribe the medication since September of this year after Covid initiated severe insomnia.  Any suggestions?

Yeah, itís not a good idea to dose Ambien during the day, the hypnotic qualities tend to give you amnesia, not good for daytime functioning.

Itís a miserable taper because the second you begin the insomnia sets in but the relief I felt getting off this drug was wonderful.

Iíve seen members reduce by 10%, are you feeling interdose withdrawal?
