@MP - If I spent time thinking about all of the things I wish I did differently, I'd hardly be able to get through the day - so we all really just have to live and learn through this process. No way out but through!

@Ein - Can you help me understand your question better? Do you mean - how do I dispose of the shavings from the pills? Or do I reuse them somehow? Do you have a limited pill supply? Thanks for any clarification!

Hey [...],

No I don't have a limited supply thankfully just wondering if you plan to use the shavings at any point or how you will plan to dispose of them.

Got it.

Well, there are pieces and there are shavings, right? Because I cut them first with the pill cutter and then I file down.
If the pieces are big enough, I might reuse them. But the shavings go straight into the trash.
Trash is best b/c it's not safe for the water system to flush drugs (even though people talk about "flushing their benzos" as a victory lap all the time, it's safest to just throw them out). A pharmacy can also safely dispose of them.

Hope that helps!

Hey @[...],

I see you are plugging away at your taper (you are doing awesome!) and since we are on the same meds, I wanted to ask a few questions if you don't mind:

- Since you are tapering .001mg a day, have you had to hold at any point to stabilize due to the valium's half life catching up to the cuts?
-If you don't mind me asking, what are some of the sxs you experience daily?

Thanks!

I'm tapering appx. .01-.02/day, not .001. Big difference! :)

I have held a couple of times when I felt really bad. Otherwise, I've just kept going. I haven't always found a hold to be helpful. But everyone is different.

Happy to talk more about sxs, etc., through the PM system if you want.
