Hi everyone,

TS, your sleep is somewhat off. I hope your pain is less tonight.  At least things improved after you got up.

Falling was something I didn't see coming.  I never fall, but as the saying goes, don't ever say never.  There is a time for everything.

My eye is covered with a angry red bruise and swollen. Hopefully my eye will start looking better tomorrow.

I am sleeping because I took hydroxyzine the last two nights.

R&R your 7 hours was good.  Keep on doing that.

Good morning,

NG,  Glad you slept,  albeit with a little help.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.  Best stay out of the garden for now. Lol.

My sleep was good until 5 am or so. I woke up to a bit of a cold (nose and throat). This kept me awake for a few hours. After it stopped bothering me I had a couple of naps.

The muscle pain is worse. I think it's a flare-up of the Fibromyalgia.  This too shall pass.

Have a pleasant Saturday.

Good afternoon,

TS, Good to hear you were able to nap after the early wake up  Sorry to hear the muscle pain is worse.  Hopefully it passes soon.

I should stay out of the garden! The lawn grubs might not be finished with me yet. lol

I did try to find a reliable gardening persongroup, but the first ones I contacted failed to show up at the promised time. No call, no show.

My son said he would come over and apply fertilizer, etc., so I may take him up on the offer. The college girl that lives three houses down the street will mow again this year, so I have that covered,  I'll see if something else can be figured out or not.

Last night I thought my pains had settled down enough to sleep without taking anything, but gave in at 11 pm when I was still awake.  I took hydroxyzine and finally went to sleep around 11:30.  I slept 6 1/2 hours.

Sleep and feel well,

NG

Good afternoon,

R&R you did well with your 7.5 hours last night.  Stay that way.

I slept around 8 hours, but did take hydroxyzine, again.

My face is healing quite well.

Good morning,

RnR,  good job! Congrats.

NG,  Happy to see you're on the mend. Eight hours of sleep has surely been helping with that. Never mind the pill you took. It's for the greater good.

My sleep was good, both last night and the night before that. Some 7 hours of restoring sleep.

My sister and I  went to see my oldest uncle (97) and aunt (96) yesterday.  A cousin ( and good friend) of mine did the driving. Their oldest daughter has terminal cancer. She and I  are on the phone quite a bit, but hadn’t met in a few years. It was a very meaningful afternoon.  So glad we went! But boy, growing old can be very hard...

Have an enjoyable Monday.

Good day,

TS, that was great you went to visit your uncle and aunt.  How very nice your cousin and good friend did the driving.  I am sorry to hear their oldest daughter has terminal cancer.  I can imagine it was a very meaningful afternoon.  Indeed growing old can be very hard.

You did well with 7 hours of restoring sleep.

I slept another 8 hours and each day my face looks better.  In another week or so I hope I don't look like a Halloween poster child er old person.

Have a great Monday.

Hello NG,

Glad your face is getting better! Your remark about  Halloween made me laugh! It is indeed a bit early for that. Lol. It's a very good sign your recovery is going so well.

Congratulations on a brilliant sleep. May there be many more like that.

My sleep was in two parts last night: 5he first part was more or less OK,  the second wasn't. I woke up in a sweat, a bit nauseated and with belly pain. Also my throat was sore. This morning that's all gone again. Pfew!

The cleaning lady is coming today, so it's all hands on deck.

Have a pleasant Tuesday.

TS.

Good day,

TSI am happy your nausea and belly pain went away.  Hopefully the sore throat does, also.

Enjoy your clean house! I should do some cleaning in mine today.

My sleep was a little over 7 hours.  I felt like I was awake more, but my fitbit says what it says.

Something that makes us laugh or smile is always nice. I am glad my comment made you laugh.

Take care,

NG

Hello folks,

Hopefully you slept well.

NG,  I 'm glad to see your Fitbit told you you slept well.  I suppose we all have that feeling at times, where we feel like sleep wasn't all that much, when in fact it was. And vice versa.

Yesterday afternoon the rain stopped, so I went for a short bike ride.

Today is another rainy and windy day.

Saw my aunt this morning. As you know I visit her twice a week. She's getting worse. She has heart failure and is getting short of breath. But at almost 98 there's not much you can hope for.

I wish us all a peaceful Wednesday.

Good Wednesday morning,

TS, your bike ride sounded quite nice.  Too bad the rain and wind are back.

Your aunt must have been very happy you stopped in to see her.  Yes,  I do remember you visited her twice a week.  Sad to hear she has heart failure.  She has done so well for reaching 98 years.

How did you sleep?

I did not take the hydroxyzine last night and slept a little over 7 hours.  It is nice to have a medication that is not addictive like benzos were/are.

Wondering where AB and R&R are. Hope they are both doing okay.

Hi NG,

Glad you slept that well without meds.

My sleep was about 7 hours. The last hour before the alarm went off I did a lot of tossing and turning.  But sleep was refreshing.

AB is probably having a mini break again,  same as RnR.  I guess they'll check in again at some time. The both of us are holding the fort atm.

Enjoy your day.

Good Thursday evening,

Hi R&R, 7.5 is a good night of sleep.

TS, you did okay with 7 hours.  It's good your sleep was refreshing.

Hopefully AB comes back before too long.

I started out sleeping fairly well and even went back to sleep quickly after my first two wake ups. After waking up the 3rd time, I tossed and turned.  Somewhere towards morning, I slept again.  Enjoyed some interesting dreams.

Hopefully tonight will be better.

Hello buddies,

Happy to see both of you slept well.

My sleep is a little off again because of muscle pain in the last couple of hours before the alarm jumps into life. Probably something to do with me tapering off the Paxil. It didn't do for my neuropathic feet what I'd hoped it would. But it does make my eyes more tired, if that makes any sense. Oh well, this too shall (hopefully) pass.

Saw my eye-doctor yesterday.  All looked well. Seeing the specialist in the uni hospital in 2 weeks time. My left eye has a lot of cataract too and is going to require surgery as well in the long run. It'll do for now, but isn't ideal.

Hope last night's sleep was OK.

Wishing us all a nice Friday.

TS

Good morning,

R&R, you are doing so well. The naps are nice, also.  Keep doing that.

TS, Sorry about your muscle pain.  It does make sense about your eyes being more tired. Hopefully it will pass.

It is good you are keeping up with the eye doctors.  It has been a very uphill road you have been on, but you keep doing what you must to save your eyesight.

Cataracts are another issue, but as you said, It'll do for now, and it will.  I wish there was a magic wand to wave and things would be better, but they are only in our dreams.

I slept 5 hrs and 55 mins.  When I first went to bed, I quickly fell asleep after I put my book down, woke up again about two hours later,  and fell right back to sleep.  Another wake up came and I could not go back to sleep for some time.  It was the same as the night before with about the same amount of sleep.

The sky is blue and the sun is shining this morning.  I am happy for that.

Hi NG,

I hope you enjoyed your sunny weather. It's so nice to be moving into Spring. I love April, May and June.

I spent an hour in the garden yesterday to do some weeding.  It went surprisingly well. Sat outside for 2 hours afterwards, taking in the lovely sunshine.  Heavenly!

My sleep was good last night,  some 7 hours. No issues. Yes!

How was your sleep?  I hope you were able to increase the number of hours you slept.

Have a pleasant Saturday.

Good morning,

R&R, you did well with the 6.5 hours of sleep plus the hour nap.

TS, the time spent is the garden sounds therapeutic to me.  Your garden is definitely growing this spring.  We are about a month or so behind you.  Last night it snowed approximately 2 inches, so spring is not here, yet.

Seven hours of sleep, with no issues is wonderful.

Last night after I got my husband into bed, he started throwing up and continued to do so until approximately 1:30 am.

Now and then he is dizzy when he gets up from his recliner to go to bed and sometimes in the morning, after he has fallen asleep, but has vomited once in the last month and then again last night.

He has a gin and tonic every night and my thoughts are it could possibly be from that, but since he doesn't throw up nightly, I am perplexed.

For dinner we had chicken and homemade noodles.  He won't eat salad, as he has a difficult time swallowing the lettuce and other vegetables, so he asked for a small slice of garlic bread because it is crunchy.  He has a glass of red wine with his dinner each night . He does not eat much.

I'll take his blood pressure today and then see if not drinking any alcohol helps.  I don't drink, so hopefully he doesn't insist on having what he normally drinks each evening.

The sun is shining and more snow is on the way.  Mary Jane ski resort is staying open for skiing until late May.  I didn't realize that the name had to do with pot until recently.  The things we learn.

I agree, Denver hardly ever rained while I was living there. I can only remember a couple incidents where we got a downpour, and the rest of the time it was either really dry and hot, or cold and snowing.

I'm really liking this Seattle weather compared to when I was living on the east coast. We get Summers that are like Denver almost, just low humidity and low dew point, but about 10° cooler on average. And then during the winters, it's usually mild and I would say it rains about the same amount of days as the southeast of the United states, only really tiny amounts at once. We don't get downpours like the East Coast does very often, and only get 35 inches per year, less than the national average.

I have been forcing myself to sleep with marijuana almost every night for the last couple months, and then I take a few day break about once every couple weeks. I keep "checking back" with my benzo progress on each break, still not healed...oh well.

The good news is that we are all still hanging in there and hoping for the best, too bad life doesn't stand still while we heal so that we don't miss more of it. But on the bright side, I'm getting out and doing normal things so I'm not letting it defeat me.

Good Sunday morning,

NG,  sorry to hear about your husband's health issues.  It must be really hard at times for you. I wish you strenght to keep on doing all of the wonderful work you're doing!

Weather wise we've been lucky where I live in the north of the country. The south has had rain in the last for days where we just had the odd short shower and lots of sun. Today is a repetition of that. You don't hear me complaining about that,

I slept like log last night. 6,5 hours of nonstop sleep. Followed by another hour of lighter sleep.

Last night we changed over to DST.

How I love those long summer evenings, when the sun hardly seems to set. At 11 pm it still isn't really dark in June.

Justintime , Glad to see you back! Using marihuana to make you sleep isn't an issue.  Glad it helps you.

The climate where you live sounds great.

Don't worry about missing out on life while tapering,. Getting out and about and doing normal things sounds good to me. Enjoy.

Hope you all have a blessed Sunday.

Good evening,

JustinT, Seattle does have some nice weather.  You are close to the mountains and not far from the ocean. The best of both worlds.

That's good that the marijuana helps you sleep. It is helping you to make it through this difficult time.

Keep getting out and doing things. I am glad life is not passing you by. Life is for the living.

TS,

I figured out my husband's dizziness is most likely from the loose rocks in his ear.  He's had it before, but it's been long enough that I didn't think about it. When texting my cousin today, she mentioned it and I thought, that's it! When I tried to have him lie his side to let his head drop down and turn on his side, he could not do it. We tried twice. I'll try again tomorrow. The Dramamine is helping.

The long summer evenings are wonderful. I love the sound of crickets and the evening song of the robin. It is serene and sweet.

I am happy you slept like a log. It is such a good feeling.

I slept around 7 hours last night.

Hi,

NG,  I 'm glad you discovered the reason for the dizziness! I have a niece with the same medical issue. She does that manoeuvre too. It helps her a lot. Hope your husband's dizziness gets better asap.

7 hours of sleep is quite good. Keep it up.

My sleep was mostly ok. I had an hour or so when my throat bothered me. That kept me from proper sleep. It passed and better sleep returned.

Planning to do some more gardening today.

Have a pleasant Monday.
