..........However, since recovery is often a bumpy journey, with peaks and troughs, it can prove premature to post a "success story" within a few days or weeks of your final dose. ...... So, when posting your story, please observe the following guidelines:
- You should be benzodiazepine-free for at least two months;
- You should be (mostly) recovered from your experience;
...... Later, when you are confident that you have (largely) returned to your normal self, we hope that you will post your Success Story so that your tale can help those still going through the journey of benzodiazepine withdrawal and recovery.
Thank you.
Hi [...]:
I'm 2 months off the A and considering writing a success story. In the strict sense of the word, "most" (>50%), I am certainly mostly recovered from my ordeal. I am confident, that I have also "largely" returned to my normal self. My question concerns "most" and "largely." I am not 100% healed, and if this is the conservative criteria for posting a success story, then I will have to wait. But that last 1-2% of healing could (from other stories i read) really take a protracted time course.
I oscillate between feeling 85-100% healed and no new sxs have surfaced. I don't think about benzos or my healing very much at this point and do all the things I used to do pre-benzo, with the one exception of consuming alcohol. I think I meet the criteria for posting here but dont want to jump the gun. It seems other folks can experience new sxs several months down the line post jump. Any guidance here? Thanks.
