My body is regstering everything as pain. I'm not going to be able to calm my CSS in withdrawal and SO it looks like im gunna have to go up to a significant amount to get out and about and seek treatment. drs want me to go up and switch back from dz to clonaz. currently on 7mg of dz. need advice. anyone in simular siutation. devasted. im very unstable and worsening everyday, despite tapering less than 5 percent microdsing daily.

I don’t know what your medical treatment is that is urgent and you have to have and I am sorry to hear this.  Unfortunately nobody on BB or in this community is qualified to give you medical advice.  If it was me I would have my medical providers call or email Dr Witt Doerring here in the US for a consultation with him.  He may be willing to speak with your doctors.  Possibly they could come up with a plan to address your case.  Take care and hope you feel better soon.

I’m sorry to hear about your medical situation, did the doctors indicate why they want you back on Clonazepam, that will seriously disrupt your taper, it doesn’t make sense to me.

Did you suffer from central sensitization, dystonia, and complex regional pain syndrome before you switched from clonazepam to diazepam?  Are you taking any other medications that might be contributing to these conditions?

i think i had css and dystonia before went on benzo, it was missed.

Have you shared this with your doctors?

Also have you asked your doctors to explain their rationale for wanting to switch you back to clonazepam? (Clonazepam is more challenging to taper due to its shorter half-life, higher potency, and more limited dosing forms and strengths.)

Are they thinking it might help with what sound like pre-existing conditions?  Or is there another reason?  For example, some doctors are leery of diazepam, especially in older adults, because it’s a ‘dirty drug’ (multiple metabolites) plus has a long half-life so requires more time than clonazepam to clear the system in the event of an emergency.

Perhaps most importantly, how were you doing on your diazepam taper?  It looks like you were switched over at an appropriate equivalent dose.  Did you feel ok on the diazepam?  Were you able to tolerate the reductions?  Was there a point in your taper where your withdrawal symptoms and symptoms from other conditions intensified?  If so, when did this occur and what was your total daily dose at that point?

drs cant invetsiagte until i access them and also my neuro excitabilty and CSS is so high anything they do will hurt me.

i was in tol. withdrawal on clonaz, switched to diaz on daily liquid micro taper totallling under 5 percent a month. i have felt every day, pain spreading etc. it started getting really bad under 10mg. drs think i might do better on mu original med.

the problem i have that id have to take more of yjis drug to get out and see specialist for dytonia, but the drug will mask it. because the dystonia is linked up to my toileting, its kinda crucial.

What is your gut telling you?  Do you think you would be better off on the clonazepam?

What did you do when you experienced an uptick in symptoms at the 10mg mark?  Did you hold your taper until the symptoms stabilized or did you keep tapering?

i feel pished into a corner of having no choice but updose massively and work towards getting life back on drugs despite knowing the risks. i cannot come off drugs with this dytonia stopping me go to the toilet. i have tried various holds, i have never stablsied once during taper, feeling worse everyday and havne't met anyone else like me.
