Would you like to influence the research agenda about reducing and/or stopping psychiatric medications, including benzodiazepines and z-drugs?  If so, this is your opportunity to be heard!

Researchers at Trinity College, Dublin are conducting a study to identify and prioritize research questions about the process of reducing and stopping psychiatric medications and how best to do it. (See Note below about classes of psychiatric medicines included.)

The first step is to complete an anonymous, online survey.  Per the Participant Information Leaflet:

Your questions can be about anything that you think is important. For example, your questions could relate to decisions about reducing and/or stopping psychiatric medicines, how to do it and the effects it can have. Questions about withdrawal symptoms are also welcome.

You can submit as many questions as you like. Your questions do not have to be in any particular order of importance, and you can write as much or as little as you like.

The survey is now LIVE. For a video overview of the study as well as information on how to participate, visit:

Note: This study is looking at the following classes of psychiatric medications: anxiolytics and hypnotics (benzodiazepines and z-drugs), antidepressants, antipsychotics, stimulants (excluding illegal drugs), and gabapentinoids.
