Would anyone possibly know if liquid diazepam is available in Australia?

I will be tapering down from a 10mg daily dose in tablet form, but would like to know if there’s the possibility of switching to micro dosing once I’m down to the last couple of milligrams.

It looks like it is and here is the HealthDirect link:

https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/diazepam

If you scroll down to the 'What Brands are Available?' and click on 'different brands' you will see diazepam elixir listed.

Switching to liquid is what I did at the end of my taper when the doses became too small to cut.

Much appreciate the link Kate08,

that’s awesome news.

And yes, it was actually reading your taper that got me thinking of the benefit of micro dosing towards the end. Ty

Hello, Winters sun.

According to the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (see ARTG link below), a 10mg/10mL diazepam oral liquid is available from Orion/Perrigo — ARTG ID: 42852.

Ingredients in the liquid include diazepam, ethanol, propylene glycol, glycerol, citric acid, sodium citrate dihydrate, purified water and blackcurrant flavour.

(Click the ‘Search ARTG’ button, then enter ‘diazepam’ or ‘42852’ in the search box.)

Edit: Added ARTG ID

Thank you, Libertas

Will discuss with doctor on Thursday.

Have quite a few food and chemical intolerances from pre-existing gut issues, so will look into the ingredients also.

Appreciate your input!
