HELP!!!! Relapsed on Ambien

All,

 

I’m still on 20 mg of Valium per day but I’ve been down to 15 mg of Valium for the past week and have been substituting 5mg of Valium for 10 mg of Ambien at night for a week. 10mg = 5mg Valium

 

The reason I did this is I had the flu and needed sleep, but the Ambien is making me feel like crap during the day. Depression and more anxiety.

 

 

Can I quit this now and just go back to my Valium at nighttime ?

Yes.  I stopped.

 

I am going to be traveling to Asia at the end of June for a couple weeks so I know I will need it a couple nights again.

I hate to see you take Ambien but understand you need to sleep especially while traveling.  Will you adjust your Valium intake accordingly or just make the Ambien a planned updose?

Since 10 mg of ambien equals 5 mg of Valium  I’ll just take 15 mg of Valium that day and then the 10 mg of ambien at night. 

 

Or I’ll do 17.5 mg of Valium during the day and then 5 mg Ambien at night.
