Study confirms similarities between Benzodiazepines and Alcohol..

Study: http://empowerednews.net/benzodiazepines-raise-risk-of-crash-among-elderly-drivers/1815615/

Excerpt:  Benzodiazepines and antidepressants raise the risk of a serious vehicular accident among elderly drivers by up to five times, a new study shows. That level of risk is equal to the risk of driving with a blood alcohol level at the legal limit.

Benzos and many other drugs are not cleared as quickly out of the body as they would be in younger individuals.  This can result in a dangerous accumulation of the drug.

Before tapering I would sometimes take a dose of lorazepam shortly before driving.  Horrible I know.  Very, very dangerous.

Personally I believe the risks are quite high for both old and young.  I'm curious to know how many people were ever warned by their doctors about driving?  Be it a Benzo Script or an AD Script.
