Good find. this guy actually mentions a "black Box" warning.

He didnt mention the petition so i sent him a link. Maybe he will write more.

His comments about pfizers website are revealing.

I agree, excellent find!

I could be absolutely wrong about this, especially with the numbers he submitted, but I don't believe benzos, by themselves can be lethal even at extreme doses.  I believe there are contributing factors.  That's not to say that people on benzo aren't primarily responsible, have horrific results in tolerance and w/d, but what tips it to od'ing and death, I believe is the inclusion of other substances.

That aside, it appears there is some momentum moving in our favor.  I certainly hope it continues on this trajectory.

I don't understand this...do you mean you think it's not possible to over dose on a benzo and die from it? Or do you mean that taking benzos alone can't lead to someone becoming so depressed or sick that they would kill themselves?

I've heard both sides of this argument.  Theoretically, you can take 1000 pills and survive.  Theoretically, taking the same amount could cause you respiratory failure.  The presumed lethal dose of xanax is 1000mgs.

My opinion is let them think it can kill by itself.  More reason for them to stop prescribing it.
