BENZO BELLY AND PSYCHOGENIC FEVER - Please Help

QUESTION 1: Does benzo belly cause strong pain in the intestinal tract, especially above the belly button? I know it can cause nausea and diarrhea.

Some patients develop extremely high core body temperature  (up to 41°C) when they are exposed to emotional events, whereas others show persistent low-grade high Tc (99.0–100.5) during situations of chronic stress.

Can being emotional cause fever?

Chronic stress and exposure to emotional events can cause a psychogenic fever. This means the fever is caused by psychological factors instead of a virus or other type of inflammatory cause. In some people, chronic stress causes a persistent low-grade fever between 99 and 100.5˚F.

 

What does psychogenic fever feel like?

The symptoms of psychogenic fever can be similar to “regular” fever and may cause individuals dealing with it to experience (Chills, headaches, and Nausea, besides feeling Hot, Restlessness, or Fatigued.

 

How is psychogenic fever treated?

Most patients with psychogenic fever show resolution of fever with psychotropic medications such as phenobarbitones and antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants but not with standard antipyretics

 

Can anxiety cause fevers?

Yes. In some cases, anxiety symptoms may lead to a rise in body temperature. This is sometimes referred to as psychogenic fever, or a fever caused by psychological reasons.
